You can travel for Spiti after October any time. But if you want to experience snowfall and snow in Spiti then you can go after mid December. For white Spiti mostly travel in Februrary and March.

Snowfall is expected after mid December. Mostly after November it starts snowing in different parts of Spiti.

Our Spiti itinerary starts from Shimla and we do a gradual ascend to Sangla and then Kalpa and reach Spiti. So breathing problems are very rare. But people with asthma and other respiratory problems should consult their respective doctors before coming for the tour. Oxygen levels are less in Spiti and due to the dry winter season one can have breathing related issues. We have oxygen cans and medical kit with diamox in all vehicles. Rest hospitals are available in Kalpa and Kaza to take care of any major issues.

No unfortunately Chandratal will be closed for October first week to May end as there is heavy snowfall in that region. If you want to visit the lake you can plan for Spiti valley tour full circuit tour or Spiti valley via Manali
