Overview

Kheerganga, a gem discovered not too long ago in the Parvati valley, is one of the most beautiful and picturesque trekking destination in the area. Rightly named the valley of gods, it has the most mesmerizing and breathtaking views to feed your inner wander bug. For the curious ones, the trek itself isn't the only main attraction. Amongst other stuff, you would find the hot water springs, camping under the stars, healthy and wholesome food, and our little entourage of like-minded people. With an experience of over 7 years trekking different parts of the valley, we are offering our expertise, knowledge, and skill for a few wanderers and hikers. Come join us and be one with nature in all its might and beauty.

Brief Itinerary

Day 2: Early morning, sunrise, tea, and breakfast. We leave for a short hike to the nearby temple. Sightseeing and photography (optional). Few interactive games and hot water Spring bath. We leave for Barsheni and reach by evening for the onward journey back to Kasol.
 

Itinerary

Day 1:After our rendezvous and introduction at Kasol, we leave for Barsheni after breakfast stopover. Healthy breakfast for the long day ahead and we head towards Barsheni. We start our trek amongst the exquisite forests of Himachal from Kalga. The journey is pleasant and not too difficult, with amazing and breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks. It is believed that the valley was home to Lord Shiva. Lunch will be served on arrival. After reaching Kheerganga, a quick bath in the hot water springs and dinner. Early retirement for the day. Overnight in tents.

Things to carry


Necessities:

  1. Trekking shoes **: Trekking shoes with good grip and ankle support is compulsory for the trek. Please ensure that the trekking shoes are not new and used by the trekker prior to the trek. The trail is slippery and requires you to walk through rocks and boulders so good grip and water resistance shoe is necessary.  Do keep an extra floater in case of rain and for use in camps.
  2. Backpack (50-70 litres) **: A backpack with comfortable straps and a supporting frame is very important as you have to carry it on your own during the trek. Invest in a good backpack that is lightweight and comfortable to carry on long treks. 
  3. Daypack (20 litres): Keep a daypack incase you off load your backpack during the trek for your essential day items.
  4. Torch or Headlamp **: Please bring a torch or headlamp for all treks.
  5. Cutlery: Carry a spoon, mug and a lunch box. We insist on trekkers getting their own cutlery for hygiene reasons and for packed lunch.
  6. Sunglasses **: Invest in a good pair of sunglasses as you are going to be out in the sun for most of day. If you are trekking in snow it will be a mandatory as it protects you from snow blindness.
  7. Two water bottles **: 1 litre each for water during the trek.

Clothes and Other accessories


  1. Warm jacket and Sweater (couple of them if you feel more susceptible to cold) 
  2. Thermals: Carry thermals to keep yourself warm in the camp.Trek pants (2)  for daily use during the trek which are light and comfortable.
  3. Collared Shirts (3-4) Full sleeves and quick dry so that it prevents sunburn on the arms and neck area. 
  4. Poncho: Poncho is very important when you are trekking in monsoon season to protect you from the rain. You can rent one from us @ INR 50 per day.
  5. Cap: To protect your hair and face from the scorching sun carry a cap.
  6.  Synthetic gloves for your hands as it will protect your hands from water, snow and keep you dry and warm.
  7. Socks (2 pair) + Wollen socks(2 pair)  for keep you warm in the camps.
  8. Trekking pole: You should carry your own trekking poles for the steep uphills and downhills. You can carry them or rent one from us @ INR 50 per day
  9. Toiletries: Sunscreen **, moisturiser, lip balm, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitiser, wet wipes and tissues. 
  10. Plastic covers: While packing, use plastic bags to compartmentalise things and carry few extra plastic bags for wet clothes and to bring back your non biodegradable material back. Mountains are the source of water and life on this planet. Please try and keep it clean and healthy.

How to prepare for an easy trek?


  • There is nothing more fulfilling than enjoying the nature's untouched beauty in the mountains. We are gifted with abilities to achieve any daunting tasks such as swimming and running. Just like these, trekking is an amazing experience for all. Challenging yourself to enjoy nature's gifts has always been a traveller's dream. Though trekking is an enthralling journey, it must be well prepared to enjoy it to the fullest.
    A common question is 'how challenging is a trek'? It depends on various factors like weather, challenges faced during the trek, and most importantly, your endurance level. It is possible to have a beautiful hiking as long as you are physically and mentally prepared for it. Whether you are planning for an easy, moderate, or a difficult trek, a pre-training is the must.
    If you are a beginner, you will be thrilled with the surprises that trekking offers throughout your journey. Besides mental endurance, an easy trek requires strength training and should be taken seriously.

    Easy treks require a certain amount of preparation and cannot be taken lightly. Follow these exercise schedules to make sure you are fit for the trek. The easiest way to know your fitness level is to check whether you can run 4 kilometres within 30 minutes at the end of fourth week. By following the flexibility and breathing exercises, you can walk through different terrains and while maintaining your stamina level. The more you are fit, the more you will enjoy your trek.

How to reach

How to reach by Road?

The trek begins at Kasol, which can be reached by a cab from Bhuntar, at 50 km will take around 2 hours.  Trekkers and travelers to Kasol can take the overnight Volvo bus from Delhi to Manali, getting off at Bhuntar which is 40km before Manali.



How to reach by Air?

Bhuntar airport situated at Bhuntar which is 50 km from Kasol which is the starting point of the trek. Very few flights fly to this airport.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trek

You can either transfer the same trek to any of your friends/family or get a voucher for the same amount and register for any of our treks in future (validity 1 year) Or Get a refund of 90%

(If the trek amount varies, the balance needs to be paid by the trekker)



Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the trek

You can either choose to go for any other trek or other batches for the same trek depending onavailability Or Get a refund of 75%



Cancellation between 15 days and 10 days to the start of the trek

You can choose to go on the same trek with other batches in the same season Or Get a refund of 50%


Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek

You can transfer your trek to your friend/family (same trek) No cash refund.
